Jesus tells a parable about an ungrateful son who wasted his father's money by recklessly extravagant living. He represents those of us, who leave the presence of the Father to live in the "world." But soon afterward, he came to his senses and went back to his father who met him with open arms. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life sometimes puts us in a position where we have moved so far from God, that when we look back, we are all alone. But the Father who is rich is grace and mercy waits for the day that we gather ourselves and come into our right mind, because He is always standing watching and waiting. One Love, #5iveMinutes

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” (Matt. 5:6). Blessedness describes a future event, and for those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, who love God and His will, will be filled. Instead of focusing on food or physical substances, they hunger and thirst for the goodness that comes along with a love for Him and for others. However, Christ does not say “Blessed are the righteous,” because no one is righteous, no not one. He says, “Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness. The question that we must all ask ourselves is, how much am I seeking after righteousness? Am I willing to give it my all-in order to receive? Am I satisfied with just a little bit, or do I want more? “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” (John 15:4). In the camping world boondocking is a term that is described by RVers as to be without a connection to water, electric or sewer. It is defined as living totally and completely free. You are what they call “off the grid.” But sooner or later they must re-connect. “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36). Freedom means different things to different people. For one it may mean that I have a right to express myself in any way I choose. While to another it may mean being free from oppression or harsh labor. But to those who are followers of Christ, it means having the freedom to be ourselves through Christ, even if it means to denying yourself to God’s truth. Freedom can be defined by something that is personal, physical, moral, political, sexual or emotional. And Jesus spoke about freedom in John chapter 8. "He that believes on Me as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." (John 7:38). Water is very important to the human body as every one of our cells, organs and tissues are dependent upon it. Water acts as a lubricant and cushions your joints, and drinking it is good for our overall health.
