It's Time to Stop Running

Good morning, God's beautiful people. Grace and peace to you all from God our Father, and His Son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior - Amen!

As I study the book of Jonah and I am only in the first chapter many things have been shown to me by the Holy Spirit. God asked Jonah to go to the great city of Nineveh to preach salvation to them, yet he ran away from the responsibility.

Jonah went down to Joppa, paid a fare to board a ship, and went down into it, then he went he further by going down to the lowest part of the ship to sleep. First off, Jonah didn't want to preach to Nineveh because it was a pagan city, and he didn't want to be around them. But the strange thing is, that he was on a ship that was filled with pagan men, and on top of that he paid to be there.

But the point I am trying to bring out today is that many of us have gotten so comfortable in our sins that we have fallen asleep in it. We pay our way to run from the presence of God to be around those who are of the world and have found our place among them.

It is time for us to break away from the sin that holds us down, and God is about to send a storm your way so that He can get your attention so that you can come back to Him in true repentance. I say again, each one of us are like Jonah, we want to serve God, ask to do His will but when He gives us an assignment that doesn't fit with what we think, we run from the responsibility. It is time to stop running, and time to take up your cross to follow Him.

God, thank You for this awesome Word today, we pray that it touches the heart of those who needed to hear this today. Change us all in a way that we will serve You with all of our heart, soul, body, and mind. It is in the name of Jesus that we pray. Amen!

I pray that you all have a wonderful day.

One Love,

ree
