Words Matter

"The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for a lack of wisdom" - Prov. 10:21.

Good morning, God's beautiful people. Grace, love and peace to you all from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, amen!

The world is already full of negative news so there is no need as a Christian to add to it. We often spew words out of our mouths that can cause harm to others, and before you know it things have gotten so far out of control and there is nothing that can contain it.

James says that our tongues are untamable and it is evil and full of deadly poison (James 3) which means our words have the power to encourage or destroy. It can speak life into a situation, or it can quickly tear down, because out of the same lips that give life, can destroy. We must learn how to control our words and use them to nourish and strengthen because our words matter a lot.

Father, fill our mouths with Your Words with those with meaning, hope, and peace. Help us to give encouraging words to those who are in need so that we can set them up for an encounter with You. It is in the name of Jesus that we pray. Amen!
