A Heart Matter

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. 1 Sam. 16:7.

It's been said that it is not the size of the dog that is in the fight, but it's the size of the fight that's in the dog. Plain and simple, we take a look at someone and think either they have it all together or they do not, or either they are trustworthy or they or not, because we pay attention to the outward appearance of a person.

God who is the Creator of us all knows all about us, and He doesn't look at our physical appearance, but the heart. It's the heart that proves that a man is of Christ. We can pay lip service all day long, but if the heart is not right then neither will we be. God take what's on the inside of us and help to make it right.
