About His Business

“And He said to them, Why do you seek Me? Do you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49 NKJV).

From a very early age, Jesus knew what His mission was and He could not let anything cause Him to become sidetracked, not even His earthly parents.

He called God His Father. Although Joseph was standing there, He worded it in a way that was gentle so that He did not hurt his feelings, yet made it clear that He was the Son of God. He was also saying to both Mary and Joseph that God His Father was looking over Him so they had no reason to be afraid for Him, and there was no need of worrying.

Each of us needs to place ourselves under the watchful eye of God in order to receive His gentle love and care. This is a decision that requires one to give up the life he is currently living, and live one that has him about his Father's business.

Jesus had a clear agenda from the Father, and that was to preach the glorious gospel. Today, we must also go forth to preach and teach others who are lost in the darkness of sin all about the glorious gospel of Christ. We must be ready, willing and able to share the reason why He came, died and rose again. The time is now, because once the door of opportunity has been shut, no man will be able to open it again, and those who are living in sin will be forever lost.

God, we praise You on this day, for this is the day that You have made, and yes, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Today Father we pray that we go out and teach others who are in need about Your saving grace that only comes through Your Son Jesus Christ. Please give us the tools that we need and the right words in our hearts in which to say. Help us to get over the fear of men, and do what You have called us to do. Its in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that we pray. Amen!

I pray that you all have a safe and enjoyable day.

One Love,
