Be Content!

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. - 1 Timothy 6:10 NJKV.

To "covet" something means to love or possess it. A person can love his home, cars and money, but covetousness will soon bring a desire to want and have more. A believer's thoughts are to be free from covetousness, and his mind is to be focused on Christ and the hope of the kingdom of eternity. He is to be content with what God has provided for him.

King Solomon was the richest man to have lived. He had everything that he could have ever want, but he wanted more and wasn't satisfied with what he had. Money in itself is not bad, but rather the love of it is, because it leads to flaws in character like corruption, greed and discontentment.

God says He will take care of and provide for those who trust Him, and the believer who faithfully trusts will have all the necessities of life. So be content, trust in God, He will provide.

One Love,
