Delight in the Lord

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. - Psalm 1:1-2.
The word "blessed" can also be translated to 'happy.' A happy person does not walk with those who will lead him astray, and he does not keep company with those that are up to no good. The man that is happy finds his delight in the Word of God and he does not let it depart out of his mouth, but meditates on it day and night. The happy man knows that the only way he will prosper is by trusting in God.
When you trust in the Lord with every step you make, you will find joy and peace that goes well beyond any understanding that you can imagine. Being blessed by God means that you are set apart and worthy of a relationship with God. Today fix your mind, body and soul on those things that are true, honest, just and pure. Think on those things and give praise to God for your blessing.
