"The Lord is my light and my salvation; I will fear no one.
The Lord protects me from all danger; I will never be afraid." (Psalm 27:1 Good News Translation (GNT)).
Good morning God's beautiful people, it's an overcast kind of day here in south Atlanta and there is a call for rain later today. But regardless we still give God the praise, honor and glory. As the Word Says, He rains on the just and unjust a like.
Back in his day, Tyson was a fearless fighter who boasted loudly and proudly of his awesome punching power and great strength. He did this and much more to get into the head of his opponent prior to getting into the ring, and when they finally did meet up, the battle was already won. Mike won a lot of his fights in the first couple of rounds because he struck fear in the heart of his opponent by saying how great he was and how he was going to destroy them, and all of the time it worked. It was reported that Michael Spinks who was a tough fighter himself didn't even want to leave the locker room for the fight because of fear, and once they got into the ring it only lasted a few seconds.
Fear can do a lot of damage to us if we allow it, and if you were to look back over your life it was because of certain fears that you did not do certain things. We all are born with some level of fear, some have a fear of heights and a fear of flying. Some have a fear of spiders, snakes or other insects, and many others have a fear of the dark. Here is the key, fear is usually founded in the unknown and grounded in ignorance of God and his Word, and the only way to overcome our fear is to trust in the Word of God. For as it says God did not give us a spirit of fear, but one of love, power and a sound mind.
I pray that you all have a blessed week
One Love,
