He Hears Us!

"Now this is the confidence we have before Him: Whenever we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked Him for." (1 John 5:14-15 HCSB).

Do we really believe in God? We can tell by asking ourselves a simple question: Do we believe in what we are asking of God, and are we asking Him in faith?

Jesus told us that if we ask God the Father anything in His name, He will give it to us. (John 16:23), but we must do so in faith. The Apostle John assures us that we can be confident of eternal life and answered prayer. The Bible tells us of the many promises of God, and the provisions that He will make for us.

There is the promise of being delivered from the trials and temptations of life. The fear of condemnation and death, and deliverance from persecution and trouble. We will be delivered right into the very presence of God. So it's foolish and a waste of time asking God anything, unless we believe that He hears us. We must have confidence in God and believe that He loves us and will do what He promises to do.
