It's Not About You!

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name give glory. Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth and faithfulness." (Psalm 115:1 AMP).

Whenever a tragic event happens in the lives of believers, the naysayers quickly come out and say to them; "Where is your God through this, and what have you done to cause yourself this pain?" Isn't that what Job's friends said to him?

As believers, we must carry the correction perception of God and of ourselves, and know that through everything that God will get the glory. Whenever something happens we must always lift God up through praise and worship. It's not about us but Him.

It's easy to say that God is my everything when things are going my way, but what happens when the tide suddenly turns and things get ugly? What do I do when God begins to chasten me, do I turn in fear and doubt, or do I continue to praise my way through?

"Not to us Lord, but to You!"
