"Let everyone submit to the governing authorities, since there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are instituted by God." (Romans 13:1 CSB).
God expects the genuine believer to live as a testimony of righteousness, doing what is right while a citizen of this earth. The believer is to be subject to the laws of civil authorities, because government is ordained of God, with the only exception being is when government begins to exercise personal and immoral will upon our lives. When that becomes the case, we are to obey God and not man. However, it should be noted that the believer who resists the legal and moral laws of the authorities will be condemned.
The case is simple, the believer is to live above reproach before all men being a good citizen of his government. He must always walk as an example of Christ, giving honor to that which honor is due. He is to care for the lives of his fellow citizens by doing what is the will of God. "Love thy neighbor."
Father we praise and bless Your Holy name on this day. This is the day that You have made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Lead us and guide us by Your Holy Spirit. Take self out of the way, and allow us to live as citizens of heaven, obeying the rules of the land of those that You have appointed over us. It's in the name of Jesus that we pray. Amen!
I pray that you all have a wonderful day.
One Love,
