Oh, Give Thanks

"Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,

And for His wonderful works to the children of men!" (Psalm 107:8 NKJV).

Each day that we arise is new, yesterday is gone and so are the problems that were with it. You may have gotten into a heated argument with someone and things were said to hurt, but what can you do about it now? Leave it in the past. Or what about the person from high school that you were best friends with, but because they did something that you did not like over 40 years ago, you are still angry with them.

Yesterday is gone, but today, it's a new day and Scripture tells us through it all we should honor God. We have a duty to do as such, because of all the wonderful things that He has brought us out from. Day by day the journey is rough and hard, we go through periods of drought and we are often hungry, but again we praise God because He is good and faithful to us.

Father we just want to thank You for all things that You have done in our lives. Through ups and downs, through the flood and rain, through sickness and pain, You have always been there for us and with us, so with that, today Father we praise Your Holy name. It's in the name of Jesus that we pray. Amen!
