"Do your work willingly, as though you were serving the Lord himself, and not just your earthly master. In fact, the Lord Christ is the one you are really serving, and you know that He will reward you." (Col. 3:23-24 CEV).
Good morning God's beautiful people and welcome to a bright new day, one that is filled with the blessings of God.
Some people that I know view this passage with the wrong set of eyes. They think that it implies to submitting to the authority of modern day slavery. Although some may try to twisted the Word to use for their own benefit, this passage when looked at from a spiritual point is far, far greater than that.
In our workplaces where we go there are rules in place. On a construction site you must always wear the Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) so that you can be seen. In a warehouse setting you must walk in between the yellow lines that are painted on the ground to avoid injury as well. Everyplace that you work has some type of rules that you must follow. The Christian workman must obey the laws of God. He is to work tirelessly in all things and he must govern himself accordingly.
The Christian workman is to work not as a pleaser to men, but to God. He is to go out of his way by doing exactly what he has been instructed and expected of. He should never be average and just do what he is told no, he must do his best by meditating on Scripture day and night so that it becomes a part of his regular routine, and once the work day is done he will be rewarded just as Christ has promised.
God we are thankful that we have been chosen by You to be a worker in Your fields. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Jesus said that we will do greater works, so may we be spurred on by Your great love to do greater works. It's in Jesus name that we pray. Amen!
I pray that you all have a blessed day. God WILL give you the desires of your heart, when you ask Him!
One Love,
