Signed, Sealed, Delivered

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places; In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit.” (Eph. 1:3,14 NRSV).

We should all take time out of our busy schedules to just say thank you to God, because as the Scriptures read, He has blessed us with His Son Jesus Christ, who in turn gave His life as a ransom for us all.

If you are a born-again Christian, then you are “in” Christ and not of the world. You are part of the elect, the ones who were chosen by God before the foundations of the world began. Now some may say that’s not true and how can we be chosen before anything was every formed? The answer is easy, God knew us all and He planned out our lives before anything was ever formed.

We are sons and daughters of God through the adoption that was made possibly by Jesus Christ. It was the will of God that put us under the covering of Christ, and with that covering we have been redeemed and sealed with the promise of God by His Holy Spirit.
