The Door

"Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it with pitch inside and outside. This is how you are to make it: The ark will be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. You are to make a roof, finishing the sides of the ark to within eighteen inches of the roof. You are to put a door in the side of the ark. Make it with lower, middle, and upper decks." (Genesis 6:14-16 CSB).

God Himself purposed and planned the ark, even do to the smallest of details and there was only one way to enter it. God gave the provision for light to enter into the ark as well, one window, a skylight that ran the entire length of the ark. God gave Noah and his family the invitation to come and enter into the ark, and when they were safely inside He closed the door behind them.

God Himself purposed and planned the coming of His Son to come and save man, even before the foundation of the earth. Jesus Christ is the door, the only way to enter the presence of God. God has given us the light of the world to bring us out of darkness and Christ is the hope of salvation for all families. God has the door of mercy opened before us today, but soon the end is coming and when that door is shut judgment will fall.

Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no man can come into the presence of God without going through Him.
