"Without wood, fire goes out; without a gossip, conflict dies down." (Prov. 26:20 HCSB).
Fire when used in the right manner and under control of a professional has many good benefits, like for heating up water or cooking. It can be used to clear out certain areas in a forest as well. But if placed in the hands of someone without any experience, it can be deadly.
Our words when used in the right manner can bring peace to a situation. Tempers have been known to calm down when someone speaks a kind word. But when used to harm others, our words can have a devastating effect on the lives of another. As the Bible says, death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. Do you love peace or chaos?
Dear God please put a watch over our mouths and help us to watch what we say and how we say it to others. Let the words that we speak to others be those that build up and not tear down. It's in Jesus name that we pray. Amen!
I pray that you all have a blessed night.
One Love,
