The Search

“Entering the house, they saw the Child with Mary His mother, and falling to their knees, they worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” (Matt. 2:11 CSB).

The wise men or Magi were men who were from the East, who were in search of the truth. Although they stopped by to visit king Herod, they bowed down only to the One True King of kings. These men were seeking Jesus, and the only thing that had to lead them to Him was a star in the night sky, and what was in their hearts.

These men traveled for almost two years to find what they were in search of the King to worship Him. Which would lead me to ask, how much are you willing to sacrifice in order to worship the King, how badly to you want Him?

Here is a thought: God will meet the need of any man who faithfully searches and does all he can, the man who continues on and refuses to quit. Yet how few search Him out today, and as the Scripture reads: “But from there, you will search for the LORD your God, and you will find Him when you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul.” (De. 4:29).

Christmas is much more than a box with a bow on it from a store, it’s recognizing that the Greatest gift that you are I could have ever received was born in a manger, and He is the gift of eternal life.

I pray that you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

One Love,
