Trust + Faith = Deliverance

"By the first day of the first month of Noah’s six hundred and first year, the water had dried up from the earth. Noah then removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry." (Genesis 8:13 NIV).

Imagine if Noah would have tried to take things into his own hands and gotten ahead of God when the ark came to rest. Imagine the damage that he could have created if he had went with his emotions of being locked in for almost six months and opened the door of the ark. Imagine the destruction it would have caused to not only his life but of those of his family and all the animals that were aboard the ark as well. Imagine if Noah would have went and protested against God's "stay at home" order and said "I am tired of being held prisoner, I need to get out!" Imagine the excitement he must have felt and how his emotions were battling against his spirit.

The example that Noah set by being patient and having faith in God to deliver he and his family should be something that we should all be trying to follow. Like Noah, we all feel cooped up and confined. We are caged and shut in, held prisoner in our own homes. There are sleepless nights and long days. Apprehension, uneasiness and anxiety has set in, and fear is attacking our emotions. But there is hope and we must not get impatient and rush ahead of God. We must trust and have faith by waiting until God shows us when it is safe to go outside. He is the only One that can remove the covering off of our "ark."
