Victory over your Jericho

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Cor. 15:57 MEV).

There you are, standing there looking at the high wall that stands between you and your reward. You have the walls of Jericho that stands in your path, and by the looks of it, you are already in a defeated state. But here is the key, our confidence should be in the power of Jesus Christ, because with Him nothing is impossible.

God will do for you just as He said He would do. Your Jericho may be fear or anger. It could be bitterness or prejudice. You may be insecure about something and you are still filled with guilt over something it the past. Your Jericho is any attitude or mind-set that keeps you from joy, peace and rest. Your Jericho stands between you and your glory days.

But God, He has the power to heal to make right and to set free. He speaks the words to us “Be strong and of good courage,” (Jos. 1:6) do not worry or fear and go and take the land that the Lord God has given you to possess.
