"Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts." (Col. 3:16 CSB).
Peace comes to us from Christ, and it comes as we allow His Word to dwell within us, which creates a rich heart filled with the Word. As believers we respond to the demand of peace with thankfulness, and we should always thank Christ for His peace.
Here is a significant point, as the Word of Christ does not naturally dwell within our hearts, we must make room for and allow Him to enter in and make a home. We must clean out the closet of all of the old furnishings and let Christ settle in as a permanent resident within our hearts.
