You Can't Steal My Joy

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10 NKJV).
A thief and robber only has one thing in mind and that is to come in and take away everything that you have to make you feel miserable and beat down. He will take away that very thing that you hold so near and dear and once you are without it, all your joy is gone.
But Jesus came not to bring us down, but to give us a better life. The word abundant in this verse doesn't mean better or richer, but it simply means life in its fullness. In John 14:27 Jesus says "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
So during this Christmas season when that thief shows up to throw a "wet blanket" on your party, look him square in the eyes and tell him you have the peace of God which comes from His Son, Jesus Christ.
I pray that you all have a blessed day.
One Love,
